“See, God loves the gays!” Brooke Eden, a queer country star, exclaimed on stage as the rain cleared up at Palm Peach Pride, which took place Sunday, March 24, in Lake Worth Beach. Located in Bryant Park, the event welcomed thousands of members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate Pride.
OUTFAU

Right-wing fanatics wish to silence and erase the LGBTQ community – from our history and culture to everything in between. This is why we launched OutFAU. LGBTQ students need a voice. And we will be that voice.

One of the biggest events of the year for the LGBTQ+ community in Palm Beach County is fast approaching. Palm Beach Pride, run by Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center, will be taking place Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach.
When FAU officially opened in fall 1964, university life in America was just beginning to step out of the stupors of the Silent Generation of the 1950s. That summer students from northern colleges took part in “Freedom Summer” where hundreds of students traveled south to help register Southern Black people to vote.
Cold hard cash.
That’s what Youth Action Fund is giving out to assist young people in their activism.
