OutSFL is committed to producing accurate, fair, and independent journalism that serves South Florida's LGBTQ community. Editorial decisions are made in the public interest and are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, donors, owners, or other outside organizations.
OutSFL was founded on a simple belief: South Florida deserves strong, independent LGBTQ journalism.
Our mission is to inform, connect, and strengthen the LGBTQ community through accurate, independent journalism that is free and accessible to everyone. Whether we're covering government, elections, healthcare, arts and culture, nonprofits, business, Pride celebrations, or the challenges facing our community, we are committed to telling the stories that matter and holding institutions accountable.
Local LGBTQ journalism preserves our history, celebrates our successes, shines a light on our challenges, and ensures our community isn't overlooked or forgotten. At a time when misinformation spreads quickly and LGBTQ people continue to face political and social attacks, trusted local journalism is more important than ever.
Every day, OutSFL works to make sure South Florida's LGBTQ community is informed, represented, and connected, today and for future generations.
