Full disclosure: I am a homesteaded property owner who would welcome lower taxes. I also serve as Vice Mayor of Wilton Manors, one of the best cities in America. I am writing here in my personal capacity, after carefully weighing the proposed property tax reform measure headed to voters this November.
The breakfast buffet at the Three Mayors Breakfast was delicious, but some attendees may have lost their appetites. The annual event, organized by Wilton Manors Business Association (WMBA) and presented by Grieco Ford, brought business owners to Pub On the Drive.
What if the governor targets Wilton Manors? What if the governor removes city commissioners? What if he tries to appoint his people and impose his will?
Don D’Arminio is seen everywhere. Ribbon cuttings, neighborhood socials, out with friends, and, of course, sitting on the dais in the Wilton Manors city commission chamber. Much of his work there is unseen, but is felt throughout the city. Now he is running for a second term.
