Check out these events! Updated weekly.

We’re in the heart of Pride Month, and with so much to do, it takes two of us to compile our weekly To Do List. Our Pride activities always kick off what’s happening on that day, followed by other interesting events, for “Man (and Woman and Nonbinary Folks) cannot live on Pride alone.” No, we need at least a few cocktails or mocktails and a bag of chips!

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS

Pérez Art Museum Miami presents Pride Night on its waterfront terrace with a sing-along screening of “Wicked” hosted by Tiffany Fantasia. Before the film at 7 p.m., enjoy Pride-themed gallery tours, happy hour specials at Verde, and activations by LGBTQ organizations.

On the Drive, Pam Ann arrives at Hunters for her inimitable brand of humor and at The Pub, Mizz OutSFL leads a “Salute to the Ladies of the ‘80s” with Erika Noel, Paris Lenore, and Mindy Lenore.

Friday, June 13

“IT’S RAINING WOMEN!”

Thou Art Woman hosts a Pride pool party on the Easton’s rooftop. Later that night, The Manor hosts the official Pride kick-off party, starring Alyssa Hunter and Kameron Ross, with music by DJ Erick Ibiza. Eagle has Proud Pride Friday with DJ J. Warren and kicks off a weekend-long Bear & Leather Pride Festival. If it’s Friday, and it’s June, that means the theme is Pride at Aquaplex.

Saturday, June 14

PRIDE AND PROTEST

It’s Stonewall Pride Wilton Manors! It all starts with the Block Party Festival, running from 3 to 11 p.m., where you’ll find food and music, and a vendor marketplace, lining the blocks of The Drive, seven stages, a VIP lounge, and a women’s lounge. The Grindr bus will be back with freebies, photo ops, and a photo booth. Then half the street is blocked off for the Glow Night Parade, which steps off at 8 p.m.

South Florida's Gay Mecca lights up the night with a stream of illuminated Pride floats, vehicles, and walking groups. Ramrod is having a Pride Dance Party with DJ Rob Moore from Atlanta, and Eagle Proud Pride continues with DJs Thom Stephan and Alex Ramos. Downtown Delray Beach also celebrates Pride today with a festival and a concert from 4 to 7 p.m.

Before we get too caught up in Pride, we should remember that this is also the month to remember Juneteenth. Hued Songs presents The Juneteenth Experience at The Parker. The Norton Museum of Art commemorates it from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14, with a free Juneteenth Community Day. Stonewall was a protest, and we certainly have plenty to protest about with this administration. If you can’t attend today’s festivities, you might want to help support the No Kings Protest taking place today. Locally, there is one in West Palm Beach, close to the Taco Cheeto’s home.

Sunday, June 15

PAPI! DADDY! ZADDY!

FlockFest’s Splash pool party “Rainbow Edition,” with DJ Alex Ramos, is powered by Eagle Wilton Manors. The tea-dance on the ninth-floor rooftop pool overlooking downtown Fort Lauderdale at The Easton Hotel has a VIP area hosted by Hunters Nightclub and Java Joes. Great minds think alike, the Legendary Vagabundos pool party is at Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Ramrod’s holding a “Daddy Contest” in honor of Father’s Day, and The Synergy Twins are at The Pub on the Drive.

Our own Hot Dish columnist, Rick Karlin, will lead a discussion and Q&A with Erik Pipenburg, author of "Dining Out" a book about gay restaurants, at Tropics at noon.

Monday, June 16

SMOKY AND STICKY

Le Boy has S’mores shots served in marshmallows. I don’t want to know what they use to put the indentation into the marshmallow shot glasses.

Tuesday, June 17

POP! SIX! SQUISH! UH-UH! CICERO! LIPSCHITZ!

The Arsht Broadway in Miami series welcomes “Chicago” through June 22, The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center presents “Brit Beat,” and Rebel Wine Bar is having a customer appreciation party.

Wednesday, June 18

ICONS and COCKTAILS

“Take PRIDE! 25” opens at The Galleria with a benefit reception and exhibition honoring LGBTQ+ community advocates. The event will also feature an exhibit on lesbian icon Zorita and selections from “Last Call South Florida: 1,001 LGBTQ-Friendly Taverns, Haunts & Hangouts,” written by our own Rick Karlin, who will be on hand, with his collaborator Fred Fejes, to sign copies of the book, available for purchase. The Wreck Bar at B Ocean Hotel continues its monthly Pride Mermen Show.
