PINK IS THE NEW BLACK

FlockFest Weekend kicks off with “Leather & Feathers” at Eagle, and it’s Spicy Fusion night at The Well. OutSFL and Stonewall Museum’s film series, “Movies All LGBTQ People Should Know” screens “1985,” introduced by OutSFL and Rotten Tomatoes film reviewer, Gregg Shapiro. The screening time has been changed to 7 p.m. for this screening only.  Unbelievably, there is still more than a week of FIFA madness, and it’s all being screened at Gym Bar. It’s “Boyz Nite OUT: My Chemical BROmance” by BottomShelf Burlesque at The Corner in Miami, and at the other end of the geographic spectrum, HG Roosters’ pool tournament starts tonight.

Friday, July 10

FUR AND FEATHERS FLY

As Flockfest merges with Für Friday at Hunters, check out the special Dirty Birdie cocktail. Alex Ramos brings the beats to “Ember” at Eagle. The Well is your one-stop party night, starting with “Hey Girl Hey!” extended happy hour until 8, and $5 “Sweet Pink” shots for the ladies all evening. Then, there’s a “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” watch party at 8, followed by karaoke, and, if you get hungry, they’ve got a special on big wieners. You can also catch Drag Race at LIT, followed by karaoke. Do I sense a pattern here? Infinity Lounge has extended its weekend cocktail hour to 8 p.m.

New City Players present Burnt at Island City Stage through July 26. Gabriel Iglesias is at Hard Rock.

Saturday, July 11

WHAT A FLOCKING PARTY!

The FlockFest beach party will get you all toasty and wet. Then, head home, shower down, take a disco nap, and head over to Eagle for “Flocked Up.” Bears of South Florida host a pool party at Ed Lugo Resort. It’s Scandalous Saturday at Scandals with Jessica Channing, the tables may be reserved, but she isn’t. Head south of the border for Viva Brasil at The Manor with DJ Liza Rodriguez. LIT has reversed tonight’s happy hour from 8-11 p.m. Xaire provides the live music at Rebel Wine Bar.

Sunday, July 12

ALL SHOW TUNES, ALL THE TIME?

Yes, it can happen if you time it right. Start at Infinity at 3, take a dinner break from 5-7, then head to LIT at 7 for Ralphie, the singing bartender’s show. Flockfest winds down with “Splash!” at the rooftop pool of The Easton Hotel. Ronnie Minutella spins house anthems at Ramrod.

At The Pub on the Drive, it’s Poker at the Hub. If you like to keep your eye on the balls during FIFA, LeBoy screens the games.

The film club at Stonewall Museum, led by Charles Ignacio and John Catania of Chillfest, screen and discuss “Blue Moon,” a queercentered drama about legendary Broadway lyricist Lorenz Hart.
