Wilton Manors’ newest street party is poised to, in at least one way, become the city’s largest party. Rock The Block is becoming a two-day music festival.
City commissioners approved the event permit during their May 27 meeting. The concerts will be on Sat. Feb. 14-Sun. Feb. 15, 2026 and will be free to the public.
The party began in 2024 as a way to draw people out to The Drive on Presidents’ Day weekend, with “American Idol” season seven runner-up David Archuleta headlining. It returned this year on the same weekend.
The event is also being rebranded as AuthentiCITY (emphasis added) Music Festival. HarmonyWaves is producing the event, and Board President Gary Van Horn said the goal “is to highlight people living their authentic lives.”
As in previous years, the footprint will stretch along Wilton Drive from NE 6th Ave. (Shoppes of Wilton Manors) to NE 21st Ct. (City Hall parking lot) and no intersection will be closed. However, that stretch of Wilton Drive will be closed for two nights.
Van Horn says there will be a stage at each end of the area, giving the event a music fest feel. The entertainment lineup has not been announced
