There’s something quietly magical about the kind of place that invites you to sit, stay, and reconnect, and Cafe Landwer’s new Boca Raton location did exactly that.
When I met up with my close friend Russell for a much-needed brunch catch-up, we hadn’t realized just how much at times we all miss those simple moments of conversation and laughter. From the moment we arrived, the vibe was spot on cozy yet energetic, full of natural light and the soft hum of weekend chatter, with a welcoming team that made us feel instantly at home.
This Mediterranean-inspired café, located on Clint Moore Road, is the brand’s second Florida outpost and the 15th North American location in a growing lineup that began over a century ago.
Cafe Landwer’s journey from a small coffee roasting facility in Berlin in 1919 to one of Israel’s most beloved culinary staples gives the brand a unique sense of heritage, which clearly translates into the dining experience.
Boca’s new location features a wrap-around patio and a first for the brand: a wood-fired pizza oven that adds a rustic warmth to the sleek, modern space.
And then, there’s the food. Cafe Landwer’s menu is a bold and colorful celebration of Mediterranean comfort, rooted in tradition but crafted with a modern twist. Their signature shakshuka arrives sizzling, packed with tomatoes, peppers, and eggs that melt into the sauce, while schnitzel, one of their most popular dishes, is crispy, golden, and satisfying. The hummus plates are generous and topped with everything from spiced beef to roasted vegetables, ideal for sharing or savoring solo. And if you're craving something sweet, the house-made Rosalach pastries are flaky, delicate, filled with chocolate or cinnamon, are not to be missed.
The drink offerings include freshly pressed juices, a curated tea selection, Landwer’s signature coffee blends, and a selection of wine and craft cocktails, all designed to complement the flavors on the table.
As Russell and I shared stories and updates, the setting truly enhanced the moment. It felt like the kind of place we’d return to again, not just for the food, but for the energy, the comfort, and the sense of connection it fosters with every visit.
