Pride remains what may be celebrated as the largest event within the LGBTQ+ community around the world. From New York City Pride to Sāo Paulo Gay Pride Parade, these events usually take place throughout Pride Month in June and follow parades, marches, and benefit concerts.
Although Palm Beach is no stranger to pride celebrations, the county’s celebrations are usually annually hosted in March instead of June.
This year, Palm Beach Pride is being hosted on March 29 and March 30 by the Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach from 12-6 p.m. The two-day festival is set to include a pride parade and various live performances.
Tickets are available online for the presale exclusive price of $10 but are also available on the day of the event for $12.
Although there is no limit to the number of people who can participate in the event, it is important to purchase your ticket in advance if you want access to the presale exclusive price.
According to the Compass, the event typically garners over 30,000 attendees for both days of the event and is known as the largest LGBTQ+ visibility event in all of Palm Beach County.
Do you enjoy being enamored by lively emcees? Well, look no further than the Mistresses of Ceremonies, Palm Beach Pride’s exclusive and enchanting hosts, this year featuring Melissa St John, the First Lady of the Palm Beaches, Velvet Lenore, the Queen of the Palm Beaches & Miss Naples Pride 2023, Rianna Petrone, Ms. Stonewall 2023, Ms. Stonewall 2024, & Miss Naples Pride 2024, and Ariel Rimm, West Palm Beach Drag icon. Last year’s event was headlined by rising country star Brooke Eden.
Although the parade is most famous for its actual route, which follows Lucerne Avenue West into east Bryant Park, it is also noted for its various entertainment options as well as a wide array of vendors — with this year's food and beverage vendors being sold out.
The parade’s sponsors this year are decked out in all the colors of the rainbow (get it?), with OutFAU parent OutSFL and Happening Out Television Network serving as presenting media sponsors. Other sponsors include the Starbucks Pride Network, Brightline, Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, The Palm Beaches, Wallgreens, The Smart Ride, CAN Community Health, and many more.
