“There is no money.” That’s the message Pride Fort Lauderdale has for John Michael Gordon, a local massage therapist who donated $1,000 to the 2024 festival. Gordon asked for his money back when the organization canceled the main event for this year.

“I have prostate cancer.”

Even with an annual budget of $52 million, every penny must be budgeted, and every penny must be accounted for. Essentially, every penny counts. Now the city is welcoming the appointment of a new person to keep track.

The Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center is hosting their Pride Palm Beach festival March 23 and 24 at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach. One of the main highlights of the annual event is the Sunday parade.

Two out individuals vie to become mayor of Lake Worth Beach in the March 19 elections. But to do that they’ll need to defeat a straight woman who is a noted LGBTQ ally in the city.

It once served up pizza daily, now it serves up salvation – the Church of Our Savior in Boynton Beach was once a Pizza Hut but has now become a community center for the LGBTQ community and more.
