In the early 1990s, Fort Lauderdale was dealing with spring breakers, the LGBTQ community was migrating from Key West to Miami Beach, and Wilton Manors was a “bedroom community” that rolled up the sidewalks at seven.
After taking the usual summer hiatus, city commissioners returned to deal with a few issues at their Aug. 27 meeting.
The property tax rate in Wilton Manors is increasing by 10%. It sounds like a big number, but it could have been much higher.
