If one Kamala is good, a thousand is even better. That’s the idea behind Night of 1,000 Kamalas this Saturday at 5 p.m. at The Pub.
The final Saturday before the election will be a real drag, as people are encouraged to come in their best Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz outfits and wigs and make it a real political party.
“This event is not just about fun and celebration but also about the power of our collective voice in shaping the future of our country,” Danna Davis said. She, along with Christopher Gustafson, are producing the night through their production company, Mary It’s Mary.
The night will begin with top tier Kamala tribute artist Bonnie Builder singing the national anthem and God Bless America. Builder said she is ready for the night and that’s just the beginning.
“At the event I'll be performing, judging, and looking gorgeous.”
Harris, the first Black female vice president, is in a neck and neck race with her opponent, former president Donald Trump. Builder says this gig is a natural fit.
“I was raised by powerful black women so it's easy for me to channel powerful black women.”
The event’s signature drinks are the Kamala Cosmo and the Tim Tini.
The night will be hosted by FayWhat?! and OutSFL reporter John Hayden.
The party is free, and Davis says everyone should come.
“We welcome all Kamala and Tim supporters to come in with their best drag interpretations of the dynamic duo, adding a touch of fun and celebration to the event.”
