Out & Proud 2025

Logan Graves, a 32-year-old trans man, was a frequent Florida tourist. But he never expected to leave behind his life in Connecticut this year to live and volunteer with multiple Palm Beach organizations like Compass and PRISM.

Growing up in a time when people would walk around bars with rulers and flashlights to ensure men weren’t dancing too closely, Bruce Sutka knows how pushing boundaries can liven a party –– both artistically and socially.

Lety Gonzalez’s journey with Compass began long before she joined the staff. As an FAU student interested in public health and sexual health advocacy, she volunteered at Compass and quickly fell in love with its mission. Now, as the center’s Program Marketing and Media Director, she helps others find the same empowerment she once discovered within its wells.

George Lydon knows a thing or two about transformation — by day, he’s a Case Manager at Inspire Recovery, helping queer individuals navigate addiction through evidence-based creative therapies, such as art, writing, and music.

Terry Bowie, a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQ community, has recently been appointed to the board of directors for the Compass Community Center in Lake Worth. Compass is recognized as the oldest continuously operating LGBTQ+ community center in South Florida, providing a diverse array of services and resources tailored to LGBTQ+ individuals.
