Norman Extract wants to build bridges.
Not like the one that links his native Brooklyn to Manhattan, but rather connections between members of the LGBTQ community. In an effort to realize this ambition, he assumed the leadership of the Fort Lauderdale LGBTQ Social Meetup Group. The organization is not meant to be another dating app or website, but rather the catalyst to bring like-minded people together to share a meal, grab a show, play pickleball, go bowling or just hang out and talk.
At various junctures in his life, Extract has been a citizen of the world. He is known for his intelligence, wit, and political savvy. Finding success early in life, Extract attended Cornell University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in marketing. He then went on to found his own international sales and marketing agency that leaned heavily into the international fashion industry.
Going forward, Extract is dedicated to continuing to build community within the LGBTQ ranks while also supporting charitable endeavors and the arts.
“I was committed to being a great son to my Mom, friendships, my career and finding my forever partner,” said Extract.
