Adrianna Tender, a passionate transgender activist, is also an extremely busy woman.
She works with local LGBTQ organizations to push for equal access to healthcare, education, and safe spaces. She’s the program manager at TransInclusive Group. She’s on the board of Blinc (Black LGBTQ+ Liberation, Inc.), the vice president of AHF Flux, Board of Governors at the Human Rights Campaign, and co-chairperson for Community Engagement at HRC South Florida. She’s also a former vice president of the Dolphin Democrats.
Tender is also the owner of Tender Loving Care, a transgender mentoring organization.
“I plan to spend the remainder of this year putting a lot of focus on that,” she said.
Tender uses her platform to challenge misconceptions, advocate for inclusive legislation, and support those navigating their gender identity journeys.
Her warmth, authenticity, and candor resonate widely, especially among trans people seeking community and guidance.
Amid rising anti-trans legislation across the country, Tender remains undeterred.
“My faith tells me that God is in control,” she said. “I think that we're put in positions of adversity because He wants us to overcome those things. During this time, we're going to be faced with a lot, but we're going to overcome it.”
