The best part about Jason Núñez’s work as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce (GFLGLCC) is seeing its members amplified.
“I truly enjoy creating opportunities for every business to get on their soapbox, to share their story, and to grow through the networking opportunities we provide,” he said. “Seeing people connect and build relationships they might not have had otherwise, simply because they came to one of our chamber events, is incredibly rewarding. It's inspiring to watch our community come together and support one another’s success.”
However, it doesn’t come without its challenges. One of the main ones is reaching all of their members across their extensive geographical area. Their reach stretches the length and width of Broward County. It is difficult to engage members who are based in areas such as Weston, or Hallandale Beach, he said.
Núñez contributes to the LGBTQ community by “being a visible and supportive presence” for the LGBTQ business community.
“The GFLGLCC is here to champion their success,” he said. “We have significantly increased our online presence and footprint, enabling us to amplify our membership base and highlight their achievements to a much broader audience. Through these efforts, we've helped to strengthen and unify the LGBTQ business community in Greater Fort Lauderdale.”
