On June 7, West Palm Beach spilled over with queer joy, colorful performances, and unstoppable community spirit as Pride on the Block 2025 returned for its sixth — and “fiercest” — year yet.
Founded in 1992, Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center has long been a cornerstone for Palm Beach County’s queer community. Every June, the organization caps off Pride Month with its most iconic event of the year: The Stonewall Ball, a glamorous fundraising gala honoring the legacy of the 1969 Stonewall Riots and fueling the fight for LGBTQ rights today.
The 5th Annual Pride 5K at Nancy M. Graham Centennial Square on June 21 offers a vibrant blend of movement, community and celebration. Hosted by Night Runners West Palm Beach, the event promises to be the club’s biggest race yet, with more than 40 vendors, food trucks, and $2,000 in cash prizes on the line.
After nearly three years on hiatus, Lambda North has restarted meetings for LGBTQ people in recovery, offering a vital space for sobriety, community and mutual support in Palm Beach County. The new weekly meeting takes place Fridays at 7 p.m. at the Crossroads Club in Delray Beach, a well-known hub for 12-step meetings in South Florida.
