Founded in 1992, Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center has long been a cornerstone for Palm Beach County’s queer community. Every June, the organization caps off Pride Month with its most iconic event of the year: The Stonewall Ball, a glamorous fundraising gala honoring the legacy of the 1969 Stonewall Riots and fueling the fight for LGBTQ rights today.
This year’s Stonewall Ball will take place on Saturday, June 28, from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach — coinciding with the 56th anniversary of the riots that ignited the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
A Theme with Purpose: "REDefined"
The 2025 theme, "REDefined: The Art of Being Seen, Heard, and Felt," invites guests to reimagine what visibility, voice, and community care can look like in a time of political pushback and rising anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. Red — often associated with shame or danger — is being reclaimed as a color of power, passion, and protection.
“Stonewall Ball is more than a party — it’s a cultural statement,” said Julie Seaver, Executive Director of Compass, in a press release. “In a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under attack, this year’s theme boldly reclaims our right to be seen, heard, and felt in every space. We’re celebrating joy, visibility, and the powerful connections that save lives.”
Guests are encouraged to interpret the “Elevated Red” dress code with bold creativity — crimson suits, scarlet gowns, sequined jumpsuits, velvet, leather, glitter, and sensory-inspired textures. Red becomes more than a look — it becomes a message.
