Wilton Manors continues to support the organizations that support the community. During an unusually short meeting on Jan. 27, they voted to increase the city’s donation to the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County (ELC) from the proposed amount of $3,100 to $4,240. This matches the donation they made last year.
Nearly every American’s healthcare is under attack. But the LGBTQ community is drawing extra hate from Republicans in Washington and Tallahassee. There have been funding cuts to HIV prevention and treatment, severely restricted access to trans care and aggressive indifference towards mental health. This leaves service organizations struggling to do more with less.
