To honor the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, Pridelines held an unveiling ceremony in Liberty City in Miami at 5525 NW 7th Ave. on June 28.
A glow with guests sporting LEDs and shimmering sequins, Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center celebrated its annual Stonewall Ball at the Downtown West Palm Beach Hilton. The fundraiser began with a VIP cocktail reception followed by a three-hour dance party under the theme, “Love, Lights and Liberation.”
South Florida’s LGBTQ community is awash in retirees (or near-retirees) who decided to spend their latter years at the beach. The next generation of LGBTQ is planting their flag here while in their 20s – and are leaning on each other to make it happen.
Out South Florida conducted a survey of 335 people that found 62% of respondents felt less safe versus five years ago. But even so, 75% of respondents still felt somewhat safe or very safe in the South Florida city they currently live in.
