Break out the sequins, glitter, and everything pink: a tribute to Chappell Roan is in town.
Roan has become what has felt like an overnight sensation and is now considered Gen Z’s newest lesbian pop icon.
Get ready to come out "Girl the Party: Pink Pony Club" at The Manor’s Crystal Ballroom in Wilton Manors on Oct. 4.
Pandora Events is hosting, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of providing events for and by queer women.
“We started seeing Roan and all these promoters and clubs around the country starting to do tributes to her and also tributes to pop music,” said Yesi Leon, co-owner of Pandora Events. “And then we just inherited it as a theme and decided to do a night just dedicated to playing her music and playing all the cool, not only queer, but other pop music and other pop stars going up that are relevant right now.”
The one-night event, which originated in Orlando, will feature performances by Ivy Les Vixens of Orlando’s Les Vixens Burlesque and guest Atomic Stardust, along with music by DJ DLux.
The event will focus on pop music, featuring tracks from artists such as Roan, Kehlani, Renee Rapp, Billie Eilish, and Young Miko.
Tickets, which are $20, can be purchased at GirlTheParty.com and PandoraEvents.com. Attendees must be 21 or older.
