It’s only the middle of June, but we already know who won the city commission races in Wilton Manors.
Despite early heavy rains, the skies cleared just in time for the 4th Annual Pride 5k in West Palm Beach. The race, presented by Night Runners West Palm Beach, took place at the waterfront park in downtown on June 8. This year, the event featured a Health & Wellness Expo highlighting many health and wellness resources and local LGBTQ businesses.
If you’ve spent any amount of time at LGBTQ events in or around Wilton Manors, you’ve seen them. They work out front at civic events and behind the scenes of fundraisers and other philanthropic events. They are Marc Martorana and Don D’Arminio.
Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center is closing out Pride Month with their Stonewall Ball, which has been ongoing for over 20 years. The event will take place June 29 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Hilton West Palm Beach.
