Just weeks after announcing a “pause” and saying GayDays would not happen in 2026, organizers are saying never mind. Once again set for June 4-8, the event is now at a new hotel, The Holiday Inn Suites in Celebration, Fla.

In a statement covered on Queer News Tonight, the group said the spot will be a one-stop shop for partying, and will host Mr. and Miss. GayDays pageants, daytime pool parties, a Red Room late night party and an overall adult-themed vibe.

“Our goal was to bring the community back together under one roof. This structure allows guests to stay where the action is and enjoy a welcoming space created specifically for them,” GayDays co-owner Charles Cantrell said.

The original “pause” came after the group was unable to resolve issues with the original hotel, the Doubletree Orlando. The new space is only about one-third the size with about 400 rooms. The Holiday Inn is about eight miles from the parks, where Red Shirt Day will happen on Saturday, June 6, and about 10 miles from One Magical Weekend (OMW), another longstanding LGBTQ party. Other events, including pool parties are also planned.

One person close to the event told OutSFL that people don’t really want to go to the parks, and the unspoken expectation is that the tourists packing the Holiday Inn won’t leave until it's time to check out.

Many are asking why GayDays originally canceled this year’s party if it was already close to a deal with Holiday Inn. Some likely canceled plane tickets or made other plans. GayDays co-owner Josh Duke defends the timing. “We took the time to make the right decision for our community and for the future of GayDays. This year, the entire property will be dedicated to our guests, creating the immersive, adult-focused experience people have been asking for.”
