After months of silence and delays, discussion on the redevelopment of Shoppes of Wilton Manors, aka Alibi Plaza, is ready to restart. The city’s Planning and Zoning (P&Z) board is holding a special meeting to discuss development plans on Aug. 16, in the city commission chambers.

Wilton Manors’ Development Review Committee (DRC) is charged with putting plans under a microscope and making sure every square foot meets city code. They have a list.

Developers of the proposed hotel in Wilton Manors are beginning to lay the foundation. No, not the process of breaking ground and laying concrete. They’re laying the PR foundation to win approval from the city’s boards and commission and, perhaps more importantly, the community.
