Now that matchups (or lack thereof) are set for mayor and city commission in Wilton Manors, we’re getting a look at how much financial support each is getting. Candidates have filed their second quarter financials, spanning April 1 through June 30.

Three people are vying to be mayor. In addition to anything listed below, all three spent $368 on candidate filing fees.

Incumbent Scott Newton reports collecting $7,125 as well as $757.86 in in-kind donations. Newton has 19 donors who gave $100 or more, including two that donated $1,000.

Notable contributors include City Commissioners Chris Caputo ($50) and Paul Rolli ($500). The in-kind donations come from Pub On the Drive for food and drink, which is where Newton held his campaign kickoff event.

Other expenditures are campaign-related printing costs and processing fees.

Mike Sansevero reports $390 in contributions, plus $2,000 in loans he made to himself. Three people have contributed $100 or more.

He reports spending $1,227.21 this quarter (Sansevero declared his candidacy in February and filed a report for the first quarter as well). Most expenditures are campaign printing, website, and other promotional costs.

Sansevero also spent $293.37 on food at Pub On the Drive, where he held his campaign kickoff.

Mark Beigay reports $468, all of which are loans he made to his campaign. He lists no expenditures aside from the filing fee.

City Commissioners

Incumbents Mike Bracchi and Chris Caputo are running unopposed.

Caputo did not file a report because he did not collect or spend money on his campaign in the quarter and therefore is not required. He must file his Termination Report by September 12, and show how he spent any contributions and disposed of surplus funds.

Bracchi reports raising $3,550 in the quarter plus $1,036 in loans he made to the campaign.

Four people made contributions of $100 or more, while three contributions of $1,000.

His expenditures total $599.31 and includes the $315 filing fee as well as processing and banking fees.
