In 1984, I was a 19-year-old rising tennis star with a huge secret. I was competing at the USTA national tennis center in New York, home of the U.S. Open tennis championships. I was competing at the United States Olympic tennis trials. My number one goal was to make the 1984 Olympic team, being held in Los Angeles.

As the State of Iowa joins the growing ranks of Republican-led states banning abortion at six weeks, Iowans will wake up to new realities of state-forced birth, where the government controls private medical decisions for over half the state’s population.
So far, Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance isn’t the cat’s meow, yet he’s fully consistent with Donald Trump’s ridiculous boast of only choosing the best people. Instead of a popularity bump from the Republican National Convention, his poll numbers are down in the dumps. CNN found he is the least liked VP nominee since 1980:
George Washington was elected 236 years ago. Since, there have been 59 presidential elections (including this coming November). Washington could have been president for life but opted for returning home to Virginia and life as a private citizen. He established a pattern for the presidency that has served the nation well.
