When I was a little kid, I was unapologetically curious and colorfully authentic until I was told to dim my feminine light.

Love, in its purest form, should be safe, steady and unconditional. It should lift us up, not break us down. But for many in the LGBTQ community, love comes at a cost. It is a price paid in fear and rejection. Sometimes, it means losing everything we believe is ours.
When I reflect on my journey — as a professional tennis athlete, LGBTQ media & Wall Street advocate, and proud gay man — I’m overwhelmed by how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.
