When the SMART Ride suddenly announced its end, many veteran teams and benefitting agencies quickly vowed to find a way to carry on. Now, a month after the final checks were given out, a schism has formed.
The Palm Beach Pride Pageant took place two weeks ago at The Lake Worth Playhouse in Lake Worth Beach. Compass Community Center was the host of the event as they've done for many years in the past. This year was also a tribute to the current queen Vasti Love Montana, who was crowned in 2023. Beloved Palm Beach queens, Velvet Lenore and Melissa St. John, served as MC’s in the joyous occasion.
A morning walk along the beach is great. Add in a few thousand friends and a concert, and you have a great Saturday, and you’re still home (or out on The Drive) by noon.
