In the Year of the Weird, misfits are more than welcome this Halloween.

Wicked Manors goes down Thursday, Oct. 31, in downtown Wilton Manors. This year’s theme is Island of Misfit Toys, nods to the city being an island, and its diverse population that is often shunned and denigrated in other, more conservative cities.

The Pride Center runs the annual Halloween party. Over the weekend, CEO Robert Boo told OutSFL that everything was set and going smoothly.

Wilton Drive will be closed for the event and parking is extremely limited. People are encouraged to use Circuit or ride-share. Designated dropoff spots are Women’s Club at 600 NE 21st Ct. and at the Publix at Five Points. Parking is available at The Pride Center for $20 per car.

The party begins at 5 p.m. with trick or treating for the kids, followed by the Children’s Costume Contest at 6:30 on the main stage at 6th and Wilton Drive.

The night starts out rated G but will eventually become PG-13... or more.

The doors for adults open at 6 p.m. with myriad costume contests to follow. Best Group will be judged at 8 p.m., followed by the Sexy costume contest at 9 p.m. and the Best Theme contest at 10 p.m.

If you want to strut your sexy self in the contests, be at the main stage 30 minutes before your category is set to begin. If you are competing in the “Best Group Costume Contest” category, everyone in your group must be present at check-in.

Eagle Wilton Manors will be having their own costume contest starting at 7:30.

While every bar on The Drive will be open and ready for a bigger-than-average Thursday, some are going all out.

Hunters’ stage is hosting Kiesza with a VIP experience offered from 5-11 p.m. Other bars in the plaza will also have outdoor areas, and Alibi will see George Ross Dybash performing.

The Venue will have an indoor/outdoor party starting at 5 p.m. Gym, DrYnk, and Rosie’s will also be having their own special events.

Much like Stonewall Pride in June, Wicked Manors will be cashless entry. Tickets are $10 in advance and $13 at the gate. VIP is $125 in advance and $150 at the gate.
