Today, I looked at my husband with lust. I haven’t done so in a long time. We were in the pool. He stood in the shallow end with the water at his waist. The sun was on his face and beautiful gray hair. He is so handsome. Nothing had to happen as a result of my feelings, but it was a great treat to re-experience the hunger.
It’s disturbing to hear with increased frequency that Evangelical Christians are disowning their gay and transgender children. They point to their faith as the reason for their actions. “It says in the Bible…”
He’s very good-looking, finds Ray and me to be handsome, says he is rich, and we could be too. He strongly hints at a “fiends with benefits” relationship. And he’s a con artist.
The Holy Land. Israel and Palestine. It is sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
When I was young, I was fascinated by gyroscopes, “a device used to maintain orientation and angular velocity.” I didn’t understand then, but I do now. I’m oriented not just to other men, but to kindness, truthfulness, nature, innocence, gratitude, and to the Spirit/Tao/Higher Power.
Ray and I are reviewing films for the local gay film festival. We watch two or three a night, rate them between 1 and 10, and say whether we’d pay to see them. One film we watched recently was “Just Kids,” a documentary on the challenges faced by trans kids and their families.
“Hello. This is Gay Pride month, although I can’t imagine why anyone would be proud to be a homosexual.”
The octagon shapes that moved around like scattered diamonds on the bottom of the pool, had my full attention until my naked husband swam by. Then, Sebastian, our 2-year-old Aussiedoodle, dove in between us. So much beauty.
