The best part about Jason Núñez’s work as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce (GFLGLCC) is seeing its members amplified.
The son of Cuban immigrants, Alexander Zenoz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In addition to being a singer and songwriter, he plays the piano and guitar. Zenoz fronts the band Alexander & the Birds of Paradise. His EP Bird’s Eye View is due to drop any day. But there’s more to Zenoz than just stage presence.
At just 30, Nicholas Makris has already made his mark on LGBTQ mental health care in South Florida. He joined SunServe in 2022 as an intern while completing his master’s in clinical psychology at Barry University. By 2024, he had become Associate Clinical Director, a role traditionally held by licensed clinicians with decades of experience.
SunServe is the most wonderful place Angela Kaczun has ever worked in regard to acceptance, fulfillment, and love. It is a nonprofit organization that works to provide aid and support in the form of therapy, life coaching, case managing, and so forth, to the LGBTQIA+ community. She is a Senior Youth and Family Therapist, and has been with the team for two years now.
Teresa Albernas has a few job titles. She is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner where she works with Be Fehr Counseling and Mayfaire Medical for a year now. She also has an administrative role at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she reviews medical records and coordinates care for Jackson charity patients. She has worked at Jackson for nine years.
Klifton Fehr is the founder of Fehr Associates, an organization that “strive[s] to provide world-class effectiveness through individual coaching, group coaching, and team coaching for every business situation.” Their approach is to improve the way people interact, collaborate, and improve each other’s performance.
