Howard Andrew - The Community Volunteer

Howard Andrew leads two very different lives — community volunteer by day and entertainment mogul by night.

“I keep them completely separate,” he said.

While some may recognize Andrew as the VIP doorman at Pride festivals, others know him as the owner of FabScout Entertainment, a leading talent agency in the adult films industry.

“I enjoy volunteering and when I do, I’m traditionally placed at the VIP entrance because I know who most of the people are. I know who should be in and who shouldn’t be in and I’m not afraid to say ‘no’ to people,” he said.

Volunteering, Andrew said, is totally worth it.

“It’s very rewarding when you help with the organizing and set up and see people come and be happy,” he said.

As for his business side, Andrew’s FabScout Entertainment, in operation for more than 24 years, has models all over the country.

“These guys are like my kids,” he said. “When they come to South Florida for a scene, they stay at my house and are taken care of, like they are family because they are.”

A native of New York, Andrew, whose real name is Howard Marr, moved to South Florida over 30 years ago and loves to cruise the seas with a total of 36 cruises under his belt. He also serves on the board of directors for the new Gray Box Theatre in Wilton Manors.
