Miami Beach Pride returns to celebrate its 17th year of honoring the LGBTQ community with a dynamic lineup of events, performances, and activations. Taking place from March 27 through April 6, Miami Beach Pride welcomes more than 170,000 attendees from across the globe to experience the magic of this beloved celebration. The festivities culminate with the two-day festival and parade on April 5 and 6.

When City of Miami Commissioner Damián Pardo and national award-winning documentalist Joe Cardona first conceived of the idea for the Gay8 Festival in 2015, the two were very committed to creating an inclusive family- and community-centered event that would be different from other Pride festivals.

This Thanksgiving will be one to truly celebrate what we have to be thankful for, and URGE Miami Festival is the perfect place to blow off some steam and celebrate ourselves at the same time. I caught up with one of URGE producers, Raul Griffith, to chat about the upcoming weekend event, the brand-new additions and stunning DJs, and why events like URGE are needed now more than ever.
