FlockFest returned to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park for its 10th annual beach bash, and the celebration was bigger and bolder than ever. Held on July 12, the flagship event capped off a full week of Pride-filled festivities that began in Provincetown on July 5 as part of Crown & Anchor’s Revolution Week.
FlockFest’s South Florida takeover included signature events like Flamingo Bingo at LIT Bar, the Leather & Feather Party at Eagle Wilton Manors, and Flamingo Friday at Hunters. Saturday’s beach bash featured cabanas, a full bar, a lively DJ tent, and – for the first time – blue flamingos among the signature flock of vinyl pink birds. Even looming clouds couldn’t dampen the mood, with guests dancing in the sand to the sounds of international DJ Danny Verde, hosted by Jonathan Casañas.
Marking a decade of feathers and fun, this 10th anniversary milestone reflected just how far FlockFest has come, from a grassroots gathering of friends to one of South Florida’s most anticipated LGBTQ summer events. The weeklong celebration not only honored the past but looked ahead to a future full of color, connection, and continued impact.
Sunday’s Splash Pool Party at The Easton Courtyard Marriott closed out the week, drawing a strong crowd despite weather delays. Throughout the celebration, FlockFest’s dedicated crew kept spirits high and fundraising efforts front and center.
Sponsors and community partners — including Crown & Anchor, Eagle Wilton Manors, Hunters Nightclub, LIT Bar, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Mayfair Medical, MISTR, and Visit Lauderdale — played a key role in powering the festivities and helping FlockFest continue its mission of supporting local LGBTQ nonprofits. In total, 34 sponsors supported this year’s celebration, from healthcare providers and hospitality brands to grassroots businesses and media partners like Out South Florida, reflecting the full breadth of the community behind the flock.
As the established closeout to South Florida’s summer pride season, FlockFest continues to blend fun, community, and philanthropy, with plenty of inflatables, flair, and Fort Lauderdale sunshine.
