The City of Lake Worth Beach unanimously approved a resolution naming itself an LGBTQ Sanctuary City, making it the first city in Florida to do so. The resolution promises that the city will now and forever be considered a safe place, a sanctuary, and a welcoming city for LGBTQ individuals and their families to live in peace and comfort.
As the cost of Wilton Manors real estate continues to rise, the hip and savvy are moving north to Oakland Park, and have been for some time.

Ken Keechl, an attorney who pioneered LGBTQ family law in Florida, has passed away. The news was announced on social media by his friend, the Rev. Joel Slotnick. “Absolutely shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden passing of friend Ken Keechl. He was an amazing man who cared so much about the community. So many roles in government, too, aside from being a great attorney.”

Wilton Manors is getting its first hotel and the developer has a career spanning four decades, numerous booms-and-busts, and is still very much in the game. The hotel’s investors all possess backgrounds in real estate, but most lack lead developer Mark Ellert’s hotel experience.
