8. Twenty twenty-three saw three people hold the title of Mr. Ramrod. James Tyrcha, the first trans man to hold the title, reigned for most of the year and finished top 20 at International Mr. Leather in Chicago. The drama came when it was time to select his successor.
Scott Jordan won the October contest, campaigning on a platform of better mental health in the LGBTQ community. However, just weeks after winning the title, he abruptly walked out of an event and subsequently resigned the honor.
First runner-up, Leatherman Will, stepped up to fulfill the duties. He will represent Ramrod at IML over Memorial Day weekend and support the bar and community throughout the year. His goal is to expand inclusivity in the leather community.
