Community Rejects Martina Navratilova

1. Martina Navratilova prides herself on picking on the trans community. In December, trans people and their allies fought back. Her wife, “Real Housewives of Miami” cast member Julia Lemigova, was invited to perform at the Wilton Manors Holiday Spectacular.

When organizers realized their virulent, anti-trans views, Lemigova was disinvited and no consideration was given to Navratilova’s purported request for VIP tickets.

She also got into an X (formerly Twitter) feud with OutSFL Senior Reporter John Hayden. After she called trans women bad parodies of “real” women, he appeared on Happening Out Television Network’s Queer News Tonight and called her a bad parody of a human being.

She weighed in when one of her supporters reposted it, and quickly got more than 144,000 views.
