Stonewall Inn Comes to Stonewall Museum

With Florida and, soon, the federal government trying to silence and erase the LGBTQ community, the Stonewall Museum in Fort Lauderdale is more determined than ever to keep our history alive.
In June, they recreated the Stonewall Inn as it was on the nights of the infamous police raids that sparked the modern LGBTQ-rights movement. They brought in a bartender who was there during the riots.
At the end of June, they recreated the riots. “Bricks” were thrown, people chanted and, hopefully, a lesson was learned.
