‘Dancing With the South Florida Stars’ Brings the Drama

The once-venerable fundraising franchise returned to South Florida after a long hiatus. It was revived by Bobby Blair, who also returned to South Florida after a long hiatus. Blair has a flair for producing buzz-creating events, along with his partner, Brian Neal.

Drama came when eventual winner Velvet Lenore got into it with one of the judges and literally dropped the mic. Issues included confusion if food would be served, there were no same-sex-presenting couples dancing, and it was unclear which criteria were being used to judge.

The event, though, was considered a tremendous success. Blair and Neal are locked in for this year, with DWTSFS set for January 27 at The Manor.
