Smooth Sailing for FLoatarama

From a pandemic era substitute for Pride to annual Pride kickoff, FLoatarama continued its growth. This year’s parade featured Sam Lantz of Squid Game: The Challenge as Grand Marshal.

The event is now a fundraiser for programs working with LGBTQ youth. In February, FLoatarama was honored with the Next Generation Philanthropy Award at the LGBTQ Philanthropy Awards.

Organizers say they are excited for this year’s flotilla, but it’s not the only time they spend on the water. In December, they joined with SunServe for a riverboat cruise on the Rhine in Germany and visited Christmas markets and some U.S. service people stationed overseas. They’re planning another cruise for August.
