The South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble, the region’s LGBT and allies concert band, has an exciting season planned, including the return of the landmark Youth Pride Band, an opportunity for talented high school musicians to perform together in a safe environment for all.

The 38th annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) runs Nov 3-16, featuring nearly 200 films from 40 countries and filmmakers from across the nation and around the globe. The party lineup includes Poster Reveal Party, Opening Night at Hard Rock, WinterFLIFF (joint production of FLIFF and Winterfest) at Villa De Palma, the IMAX Reception, FLIFF On-The-Beach at Las Olas Oceanside Park, plus nightly receptions at the cinemas.

Zoetic Stage, the regional theater company in residence at the Arsht Center, and multiple Carbonell Award-winning artistic director Stuart Meltzer, has three premieres and a classic musical planned for Miami-Dade audiences:

The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida will hold the Chic & Unique Ball, A Red-Carpet Extravaganza, on Saturday, Nov. 4, at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort with Joe Posa as Joan Rivers conducting interviews. Enjoy fine food and cocktails, bid on silent auction items, and buy raffle tickets. The event benefits GMCSF's operations, concert programming, outreach, and scholarships.
