LGBTQ stories are at the forefront of the 41st Miami Film Festival, taking place from April 3-13.
Jen Calonita remembered that as a child, her grandparents would tell her to look for buried treasure that was never found. She always wondered what that "missing treasure" could be, thus inspiring her to write "Isle of Ever."
Music documentaries, especially those of LGBTQ interest, continue to be very popular. In 2024 alone, there were several including “Let The Canary Sing” (about Cyndi Lauper), “Indigo Girls: It’s Only Life After All,” “Luther: Never Too Much” (about Luther Vandross), “Elton John: Never Too Late,” and “I Am Celine Dion.”
