The Bears of South Florida (BOSFL) continue to be one of the region’s most cherished social organizations, and winning Best Social Group and Best Group for Bears reflects just how deeply the community values their work.
“Winning the Readers Choice Award would be a celebration of community power,” said President Brock Boyd. “It would honor every volunteer, donor, and member… For us, it’s not just recognition; it’s a reminder that what we do together truly matters.”
A 100% volunteer-run nonprofit with more than 3,500 members and over 200 active volunteers, BOSFL mixes fun, philanthropy, and connection through events ranging from pool parties and cabarets to travel adventures and community fundraisers. Their Grizzly Giving Program ensures that every dollar raised supports local LGBTQ+ charities and the organizations that keep South Florida thriving.
At the heart of BOSFL is belonging.
