The son of Cuban immigrants, Alexander Zenoz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In addition to being a singer and songwriter, he plays the piano and guitar. Zenoz fronts the band Alexander & the Birds of Paradise. His EP Bird’s Eye View is due to drop any day. But there’s more to Zenoz than just stage presence.
Zenoz comes out fast and hard in support of the drag community. “Drag is an art form of resistance. It has led a revolution,” he said.
Indeed, drag is the soundtrack of the gay rights movement, a movement that has embraced all members of the LGBTQ community.
Over the years, Zenoz has been a supporter of various nonprofits including the Sunshine Pride House, an organization that provides a safe haven for homeless LGBTQ youth.
“I’m really focused on building a platform to help the most vulnerable in the LGBTQ community,” Zenoz said.
Just to make sure that no one is calling him a one-trick pony, Zenoz is also building a career as an actor. So whether he’s reciting the lines others have written or singing his own lyrics, Zenoz is an original.
