For 7 wonderful years, Max (ID 724558) was where he wanted to be: by his person’s side.

He wasn’t just a dog to her. He was her companion, her confidant, and her best friend. 

Then came the heartbreaking news. Max’s beloved owner received a devastating diagnosis and was placed in hospice care. The life they had shared suddenly came to an end, and Max found himself at the Humane Society of Broward County trying to make sense of it all. 

 

If you look into Max’s eyes, you may see a little sadness there - he misses his person. He was the best companion he could possibly be and now he is waiting for someone who will be his person again. This fellow is a 7-year-old, 83-pound, Doberman mix, with a gentle heart. He loves people and is sweet and friendly with both adults and children. He enjoys being with his human friends and has so much love to give. We don't know how he feels about other dogs, so a meet and greet will be required to make sure everyone is comfortable. He has never been around cats. 

 

Max gave his person his whole heart. He kept her company and loved her through everything. Now, this sweet fellow deserves someone who will do the same for him. Max isn't looking for anything complicated. He wants a loving person to talk to him, a comfortable place to call home, a soft spot to rest his head and someone who will cherish him for all the days ahead.
