Can I hop into your heart and home? My name is Lucille and my former owner abandoned me at a park when they no longer wanted me.
I was scared, but luckily a good Samaritan rescued me and brought me to the shelter. I’m a big girl and weigh just over six pounds. I enjoy getting exercise and hopping around to explore. I’ll need a healthy diet of high quality rabbit food and a variety of greens, so if you have a vegetable garden, I would love to live with you!
To meet Lucille (ID 680037) or any other pet, complete the pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and then stop by the Humane Society of Broward County located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Appointments are not required, and the shelter is open 7 days a week. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, please call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. When you adopt, the pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, 14 days of limited health care from VCA Animal Hospitals, a bag of Purina One pet food and more.
Have a pet already and need a microchip or vaccines? The shelter’s vaccine clinic is now open 6 days a week, no appointment necessary. Learn more by visiting the website.
