Looking for a fun-loving dog? If so, meet Francine (ID 712606).
This 4-year-old, 46-pound sweetheart came to the Humane Society of Broward County from another shelter, so her past is a bit of a mystery — but her bright, loving personality shines loud and clear. Francine is a fun-loving, silly girl with the best ears and an even bigger heart. She absolutely LOVES toys (seriously — she’s not picky and will happily take them all!) and could play fetch or go exploring with you all day. She’s always ready for an adventure, followed by some well-earned cuddle time.
This smart girl is already showing great potential — she rides nicely in the car, takes treats gently, and is eager to learn. On walks, she may get a little strong at times, but she listens when you guide her and is excited to keep improving. Francine is also working on remembering that hands aren’t toys when she gets extra excited — but she’s learning quickly and will gladly trade for one of her beloved toys.
She’s a social butterfly, too! A home with older kids would be best and if you have a dog at home a meet and greet is always recommended. It is unknown how she is with felines. When she arrived at the shelter, Francine tested positive for heartworm disease. The amazing veterinary team at the Humane Society has completed her treatment and now Francine needs to take it easy for the next few weeks to ensure the treatment is a success.
At the end of the day, what Francine wants most is simple: to be close to her person. To meet this beauty visit www.humanebroward.com to complete the pre-adoption application.
