Oakland Park: Anti-Social

While Oakland Park tries to position itself as the Brooklyn to Wilton Manors’ Manhattan, the city went after a very LGBTQ business. The city, in cooperation with BSO, ran a sting on the adult business.

The official report was filled with innuendo but didn’t document any illegal activity. Raising even more eyebrows: owners were ordered to delete all social media and evacuate the space immediately, with no opportunity to appeal first.

The owner led protests outside Oakland Park City Hall, but to no avail.
