I know. We’ve barely wiped off our Halloween make-up, but Thanksgiving is this month. It is one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants, so whether you plan on dining out or ordering in, you’d best make your reservations now. This week we look at places offering to take care of everything for you. You just show up and enjoy your meal and the company of those around you, and they take care of the prep and clean-up.

Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Dania Beach, Coconut Creek, and Pembroke has a three-course menu that covers all the classics: butternut squash soup, turkey with gravy, stuffing, roasted green beans and carrots, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin praline cheesecake made from Eli's Cheesecake of Chicago. The regular menu will also be available for anyone skipping the turkey.  $36.99 per adult. Call the individual restaurant for reservations, or go to CHWinery.com.

Get all Ritzy at Burlock Coast in the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant is offering a three-course, family-style feast from noon to 8 p.m. Among the offerings are butternut squash soup, fall greens with fresh apple, dried cranberries, goat cheese, candied walnuts, and maple vinaigrette. The main course features roasted turkey breast with confit leg and thigh, cornbread-sausage stuffing, whipped garlic potato, green beans with creamy mushrooms and crispy onions, roasted root vegetables, cranberry sauce, and gravy. The meal concludes with pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream and candied pecans and warm apple pie with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. Cost is $139 per adult, go to BurlockCoast.com to make a reservation.

Celebrate with a Peruvian twist on holiday classics at Jarana from Nov. 23-25. Highlights include prawn ceviche, wood-roasted Peruvian corn and confit and seared turkey leg served over kabocha squash stew with fresh cheese, adobo sauce and white rice, and pecan pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Jarana will also be open on Thanksgiving Day. Go to JaranaRestaurant.com/Aventura for more information.

Toro Toro, the Pan-Latin steakhouse inside the InterContinental Miami, will  offer an à la carte menu featuring a variety of seasonal dishes. Pair your meal with a seasonal cocktail such as Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini. For more information, visit https://www.torotoromiami.com/menus.

For those who prefer a lavish buffet, Galuppi’s in Pompano Beach offers indoor and outdoor dining with views of the golf course, lakes, and surrounding greens. Go to Galuppis.com for information or to make reservations. The buffet is $50 per adult, almost what you’d spend for a group of four.

For a more refined buffet experience, Tower Club Fort Lauderdale’s holiday spread includes turkey, prime rib, cedar plank salmon, a raw bar, seasonal sides, and desserts. It is $85 per person, add unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $35 per person. Call 954-764-8550.

Dine on the waterfront at Shooters with a homestyle feast for $95 per person, served from noon-7 p.m. Reservations are suggested: ShootersWaterfront.com.

It’s Not Always About You

If you’d like to celebrate the reason for Thanksgiving, consider helping out at Meals on Wheels South Florida. The volunteers there don’t just deliver meals; they deliver a critical connection. Because many of Broward County’s most vulnerable seniors are homebound and alone, MOWSOFLO is intensifying its outreach to ensure they receive a hot meal and a vital safety check this holiday. If you’d like to volunteer or make a financial gift, do so at mowsoflo.org/holidayopportunities.
