Leila Cox: In a Class of Her Own

Leila Cox is a first-class act. The former Miss Pub on the Drive 2021 is celebrating a decade of doing drag.

“Participating in the OutSFL pageant was an amazing experience, partly because the pageant itself was so different from the others. The rules really caught my attention," Cox says.

Cox, who hails from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, has lived in Fort Lauderdale for almost 20 years. She divides her time between performing and working as a flight attendant for Spirit Airlines.

But Cox says her flights are unlike those you see on viral social media clips. "I work the red eye. On most of my flights, everybody is sleeping and quiet."

Cox is a familiar face on Wilton Drive, performing every Monday at The Pub on the Drive. Her talent is not limited to one venue, as she also graces Scandals and Lilo's in Lake Worth. Her performances are a testament to her versatility, as she loves to entertain with “a little bit of everything,” including her passion for Latin music.

When she's not working, she's single and open to finding "a good guy here in Wilton Manors."
