Winter sports in Florida means anything but snowy courts and indoor games.
That’s why it’s the perfect time to check out some of the leagues Rainbow Sports League has to offer for the winter season, including soccer, kickball and pickleball.
Registration for those three leagues open on Nov. 1 and close in early January. Rainbow Sports League is an LGBTQ-friendly athletic group that hosts inclusive sporting opportunities for the community.
Soccer matches will be held on Wednesdays beginning on Jan.7 at Mills Pond Football Fields from 7-8 p.m. It costs $79 to register.
Kickball starts on Jan. 10. Games will be played on Saturdays at Mickel Park from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It costs $59 to register. Teams will consist of 10 players each.
Doubles pickleball matches will kick off on Jan. 11. Games will occur on Sundays at Osswald Park from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Registration costs $59.
Registration costs reflect an early bird deal, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible before prices increase.
